Ship
Let me know if a studio apartment comes up in this neighbourhood within my budget.
Every Friday, send me a roundup of interesting things happening near me this weekend.
Can do the second or third weekend, but needs to be home Sunday evening.
Around €300 budget, prefers somewhere warm.
Third weekend works, travelling from London, would love somewhere by the sea.
Each person’s Ship checks with them or uses preferences they’ve agreed to share.
Ship can use the browser you’re already signed into. You can see what it sees, watch what it does, and choose which actions need your approval.
Your connected browser runs on your device. It’s separate from Ship’s own cloud browser.

Everyday life & admin
“Ship suggested sending an email, so I said, okay, let's do that! I thought it would just write something in German for me to copy into Gmail, but it actually took care of sending it and even followed up when they replied. I loved that!”
Tathitathylenne.ship.spaceExpat in BerlinFirst of all, I'd never used a personal assistant before, so I didn't really know what to expect. But honestly, I loved it.
I was trying to get a prescription, which had turned into this whole saga. I was trying to sort things out with the doctor, and apparently I needed some certificate or other. And I was like, how the hell am I supposed to get this thing?
So I asked Ship what to do. It suggested either calling my health plan or sending an email. I said, okay, let's send the email.
The funny thing is, I thought it would just write me a message in German that I'd have to copy and paste into Gmail myself. But it actually sent the email I'd asked for!
And then, about an hour later, it messaged me again. They'd replied, explained what was happening, and said they'd send the paperwork by post.
I was genuinely so surprised. I didn't have to keep checking whether they'd replied or figure out what to do next. I'd explained the problem, decided what I wanted Ship to do, and it took things from there.
I thought that was wonderful.
Projects & follow-through
“I love how well Ship works for hyper-specific things. With ADHD, actually following through can be the hardest part. And Ship is an EXECUTION MACHINE!”
Julianstargaze.ship.spaceDesigner & dadI think what makes Ship so good is that it's the first AI tool we've actually started using for all the everyday messes, without thinking twice about it.
I have ADHD, and executive dysfunction is a real thing. I often know exactly what I need to do, but actually getting started and following through is another story. Ship has been great for that. I've opened up a bunch of different work threads, and it's almost like body doubling, having something there to help me keep going.
I even signed up for a data visualisation course I honestly think I would've given up on otherwise. It's also helping me finally get my portfolio out there and sort through citizenship bureaucracy. All those things that have a way of just sitting on your to-do list forever.
And I love how well it works for really specific things! My partner exported some data from the app we use to track our baby's sleep and asked Ship to work out sleep windows. Now it sends us a projection of when he might need to sleep throughout the day. Whether it'll actually improve his sleep, who knows, but it's pretty amazing that we can do that.
The memory and the way it chases us up through Telegram have been really useful too. And having our Ships work together is something quite different and powerful.
Honestly, what a joy to use something that genuinely makes life easier. There's so much AI out there that feels like it's replacing people's work or just making more noise. This feels different. It feels personal, like something that's actually made for you and all the weirdly specific things going on in your life.
I also love that it's open source. Seeing more tools that aren't under the wing of big tech feels like such a relief. There's something really nice about being able to move away from all that. It cleanses the soul a little, hahaha.
And especially with ADHD, where so much of the struggle is actually getting things done, Ship is an EXECUTION MACHINE!
Uni & life outside it
“I asked Ship to download data from this incredibly annoying website for a uni project. My teammates thought I was a real hero for that, haha.”
Alyshaalysha.ship.spaceStudent & serial hobbyistSo I have a lot going on between uni, cycling, seeing friends, and about a hundred craft projects I've started. I often feel like I never really have enough time for everything.
I love being busy, but sometimes figuring out how to fit it all into my week is a bit of a challenge. I've been using Ship to help me plan my time and organise my coursework, so I can actually make space for everything else I want to do!
The best thing it did recently was a uni project where I needed to get meteorological data from this website that was just incredibly annoying to use. I really didn't want to spend hours figuring it out myself, so I asked Ship to download the datasets. My teammates thought I was a real hero for that, haha.
It's nice having something I can turn to when I'm stuck with a tedious task, or when I need to figure out what to prioritise.
I still have way too many things I want to do, but at least I can spend a little less time on the boring stuff, and a bit more time doing things I actually enjoy! Yay!
Work & travel
“I gave Ship my route, budget and a four-week window to watch flights. One morning I got a WhatsApp with a fare well under my limit. I booked it in under a minute.”
Anwaranwar.ship.spaceFounder & travellerI'd been thinking about taking a trip, but hadn't really figured much out yet. So I gave Ship my route, a budget and about four weeks to keep an eye on flights. Then one morning I got a WhatsApp with a fare way below my budget. I booked it from my phone in under a minute. After that, I connected Ship to my browser and had it help with the rest: finding a hotel in a good spot, sorting the airport transfer, even reserving a table for dinner on the first night. It checked with me before anything cost money, and otherwise just got on with it. Honestly, saved me such a headache.
I've also been looking for a job, and the searching part gets so repetitive. Same websites, same filters, every day. I know what I'm looking for, so I explained it to Ship, including what I definitely didn't want. Now it sends me opportunities that are actually worth looking at. I pushed back on a few suggestions at first, and it got surprisingly good at figuring out what I meant. It even gives me a quick briefing on the company and industry before interviews, which is really helpful.
And then there's my startup, which I'm building pretty much on my own. I use Ship as the assistant I don't have. It helps arrange meetings, keeps track of what I'm working on in Notion, and checks in with me every week to reflect on how things are going. I'd been trying to make that last one a habit for years and never really stuck to it. It also goes through my inbox and points out the few emails that actually need my attention.
I think my favourite part is that I don't have to keep explaining everything from scratch. It already knows what I've got going on, whether it's work, travel or something completely different. It's nice having something that helps me keep all those things moving without having to think about every little detail myself.
